Even Christians know that atheists are beyond them. They like to say that "god hardens our hearts".

What that means, in reality, is that true atheists can see through their lies so effortlessly, that it is impossible for them to fall for it again.

They could. Anyone, at any time, may convert if they believe in the developing evidence that they are given.

IT'S CALLED FAITH!!! To quote Mark Twain, faith is believing in what you no ain't so. Just because a free thinker has re-evaluated the information given to them and has decided that they DO, in fact, have faith enough to believe in what common sense and logic are telling them cannot be true, doesn't make them any less of a free thinker.

Likewise, Christians, true Christians, leave Christianity all the time when they either lose their faith or realize that the modern form of christianity is no longer true.

A True Christian can and they do leave Christianity all the time. http://Ex-Christian.net

And no, a Free Thinker wouldn't convert to Christianity. Chances are they are an Ex-Christian themselves.

I believe C. S. Lewis was a free thinker before he converted.

That's an illogical question. A free thinker would not be very free if he wasn't free to be a Christian.

That's perfectly obvious to anyone free to think about it.

If a "genuine/real" loose truth seeker were to be called with information from the Holy Spirit and convicted of the sin in his existence and he repented and believed with information from the skill of the Holy Spirit and went on to be switched over with information from the note of God then he might want to convert to Christianity. there is not any distinction between levels of intelligence, preparation, or journey etc. in existence between real believers in Christ.

As a free thinker (atheist), I'll answer that for you.

No.

So, Christians, quit trying. Most often, atheists/agnostics/whatever are just as devoted to their beliefs as Christians are to theirs.

It seems there is a misconception that Christians do not think for themselves, that we let religion do the thinking for us. This is the fartherest from the truth as it gets. We think for ourselves all the time, every day. God gave us thought and reason and free will. It is ridiculous to state that Christians do not think for themselves.

The spirit of God will change the way a person thinks if that person has truly been converted and sanctified.
