ecnalubma is ambulance reversed, but in the review mirror you see its correct spelling as 'ambulance'.

They do it so as you see an ambulance driving toward you, you concentrate so much on trying to figure out what it says that you crash and then when the ambulance takes you to hospital, it causes more crashes for the same reason.

Most people I know drive with either their music up too loud to hear the siren, or don't pay attention to it because they're on the phone. I think it should stay - there are just too many inattentive drivers now.
