My sister and i agreed to buy a tv for my parents for christmas. I paid for the tv in full when we bought it and then aggreed at the checkout desk that we were each going to put in $400.00. Well, she is not paying me back for it. I own a business, should I put he account on hold untill she pays me back or should I file a claim? Help!!!

I can understand how intensely irritating this would be, to have your sister renege on her agreement to share the cost with you. But for $400, although it's a lot of money, it's not worth creating this much strife. Move on and learn from the experience: do not trust your sister's word again. And please don't make the mistake of telling your parents that the tv is not from her, after all. I would let your sister know exactly how you feel, that you feel cheated by her, and ask if she has any intention of paying you. If she doesn't, let it go. Sorry this happened.

I think when it comes to family the first rule you need to keep in mind is if they pay you then super but if not.... remember first and foremost they are family. And, don't ever do this again with her.

If you lend money to family member or a friend, my rule of thumb is if they pay you back great! If not, then suck it up and just don't lend them anymore. that is all. then there never needs to be a fight, or fallout. Just my opinion :)

she is your sister and i think if you give up that money ,you will not be poor!! if you do not care for always telling her give my money back.give my money back. and be patient she will get it to her self

my bro can be the same, he expected me to go halves but he wud back out but still expect it to be from him.
i suggest buyin them a special prezzy, just from u dont let her walk over you! it aint worth a big fall out though she is your sister just let her know how you feel
