Well, it is a resource hog and requires a pretty powerful computer to do much of the same things that XP can do now. It is supposedly more secure then XP and has great looks to it. It is recommended that you have a computer with no less then a Gigabyte of RAM, a 128 bit graphics card (not integrated!) and a hefty processor (64 bit if at all possible). Security is the real issue, so if you are not on the net a lot, and dont worry too much about security, wait a while before getting it. Also, I do not recommend getting it now anyway. Let others find the bugs with it (and there will be plenty of them!)....

it is pretty much Microsoft's version of mac, it has features like transparent window bars and some security improvements, but to get all the features u pay 400 dollars so it would be better to buy good security software and download apps for another version of windows free. some good ones are trans apps and Mozilla Firefox(a browser similar to IE 7 only faster)

also Vista needs at least 512 megabytes of ram and a pretty fast processor. the only reason to get it is for dirextX10 which only runs on vista (direct X is for computers to run really high end games that are going to start coming out sometime this year.
