If your good with him already then you could talk to him about something interesting, or not [to get him to look straight at you] and then you could smooth his hair or just touch his arm for longer than you usually would, and look straight into his eyes. If he looks down and back at your eyes, or just keeps looking, smile and just saying something like 'ah your so cute [seeming friendly]' and take it from there.
If he looks away [eyes side to side] or turns his head or body away from yours this is a bad sign.

In some form you dont ahve to say anything.. You can just send signal tht your intrested and you like him like wen you to link eyes and smile and be really close.. Or if hes dumb and dosnt get it you could tell a friend to acidently blurt it out?
