My fiance is out of town, and will be for awhile. He is visiting his family. The thing is, he's a different person when he's with them. He doesn't want to talk to me as much, and when we do it's always really rushed. Also, I'm pretty needy, and he's known this from the beginning, but since his brother has mentioned it, now he wants me to "become more independent." I know this is only bc he wants to be the best in everything, including having the best girl. I understand that he's busy and has less time, but I feel like he is pushing me away. Now, even when we do talk, I am afraid to say the wrong thing, or to want to talk for too long, so I'd almost rather not talk to him than deal with the stress. I love him, and I want to be with him forever, but I don't know what to do. He says that I can move there with him, and I think that may make things better, but I really don't know what to do. He doesn't think he's doing anything wrong, so talking to him again won't help. Please help! Thanks

First of all, you do need to be more independent. No man, or woman wants someone that is sooo easy to attain that they have no challenge or anything. It's all about the chase, he knows that you need him, so why should he work at something with you. You need to talk to him and be brutally honest with him... tell him that you don't like how he treats you when he's with his family and if he's not willing to make a compromise than quite honestly its not meant to be. You need to be strong and independent enough that its ok to be alone at times... otherwise you're suffocating yourself and each other.

Well with the part about acting different when he's with his family you mentioned his brother said you are needy. So everytime he is with his family his brother may looking at him everytime you two talk giving him facial expressions or saying stuff like look who's calling he needy girl, what a surprise. Or it just may be awkward to talk about personal things when the family is all around him.

Have you ever thought of doing things to make your time go faster? I have a sister that is needy, it's very annoying, im just glad i am not her husband lol, go out with friends and try and find out why your so needy, i can tell you if it makes women annoyed think about the man you are with. Learn to do things on your own, get friends, go out enjoy life, life is to short to be worrying what your boyfriend is or isn't doing.

If you can, be there with him in person. He wants to spend time with his family, and I think you should be there, especially if he is having problems within the family. Show him that you can be the rock and he can rely on you. I'm sure you'll be just fine. Don't give up!!

you should talk to him about this ...and no you shouldnt have to move to where his parents live just to satisfy him, you have to be happy too. tell him how you feel . talk about the problem dont worry about saying too much or the wrong thing....if he loves you it wont matter.
