No its not illegal. You certainly wouldn't get in trouble for dating a 17 year old at the age of 19. Then again certain variable have to be consider such as the parent's approval. Since the 17 year old is not yet 18 and therefore has no rights, the parents decide whether or not the relationship should be allowed. If the parents decide they do not wish their 17 year old son to date an 18 soon to be 19 year old woman, they can be ignorant and file statatory rape which is when a person sleeps with a younger person. My suggestion is, hold out a couple months. As soon as he hits 18 years of age it will be smooth sailing baby!

i dated a 17 year old when i was only 14. we were together for about 3 1/2 years. i don't know if it's true or not but i heard about a three year law. So we were in the cool. The only way that any "adult" can get into trouble for being with a minor is if the minor's parents don't approve. the minor's parents are the only people who can do anything about it.

NO! You are only 19, and he 17 That is only TWO years! BUT, try and keep it on the down low until he turns 18! I wouldn't personally know, but i doubt it. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BF! *winks* aha!

Check your local laws, but best rule of thumb is for 18 and up not to "date" anyone under 18.

illegal? technically. his parents could actually charge the girl with corruption of a minor. but it's the old double standard, no one cares if the guy is younger. where the heck were you when I was 17? ; )

i THINK that the law is as long as you arnt 21 the other person just has to be over 16. i could be completely wrong so i would check.

im assuming you arnt just talking about dating as everyone else said, you can date anyone of any age as long as you arn't having sex.

If the age for becoming an adult is 18, then, legally speaking, you are an adult and he's still underage (no matter how underage). So, legally speaking, you're seducing a minor.

If it is only dating... no problem.

But if you have sex with the guy before he turns 18, you are breaking the law.
