tell him exactly how you feel and why...if he doesn't understand then he's probably not the right person for you to be with.

Well, I assume that you haven't gone past kissing yet, in which case it'll be easy to explain to him that you're not ready to do anything else. Guys are normally more anxious than girls to move on to the next steps. If you've already let things progress beyond kissing once or twice you have to make sure that he understands that he did nothing wrong and that you enjoyed it but you'd be more comfortable taking things a bit slower for now. If he respects you he'll understand. Good Luck

Well he shouldn't feel like he did anything wrong if you're not back tracking. As long as you haven't done something more and then told him you wanted to go back to just kissing he shouldn't get bothered at all. Just keep doing what you're doing and if he mentions or tries anything else just tell him you're not ready yet. If he's a decent guy he'll understand, won't get hurt, and won't pressure you.

I think you said it fine in your question. I think it best to have the conversation right up front not when you are kissing or about to kiss. As a guy, I assure you that you cannot hurt him by not doing anything else with him. Find out if you have something worthwhile and what level of respect he has.

If he's trying to push you further, then just come out flat and tell him, I'm sorry I just don't feel comfortable doing that yet. It's not that I'm uncomfortable with you, I'm just uncomfortable with doing anything passed making out in general. He should understand. And if not, then you know he's not worth your time. But never, ever allow him to push you further than you feel comfortable going. That is not right.

tell him your not ready to go farther and its not because of him its because of you and your morals about having self respect. if he really likes you then he wont be bothered but if he is bothered then he is not the kind of guy you want to be with right now because he might manipulate you and make you feel bad then try to take advantage of you.

You won't hurt him if he actually cares. If he freaks out, he just wanted in your pants and is pissed off that he wasted his time. Took me 1 year 7 months to get in my girlfriends pants and I didn't mind, she asked me when she was ready.

You say exactly that.
You're not ready. End of story. Either he'll accept that, or he'll be a jerk about it which means that you shouldn't be that physical anyway.

what is more important, you hurting him (by being honest with him) ,or him hurting you? just tell him...it is your body, and you have control of it...if he cannot respect your wishes. i suggest you find someone else...GOOD LUCK!!!
