I need to fix it so I can start my work at home job. When I get to a page where I am going to share personal information I get the error page...page cannot be found, server may be busy...blah blah. I have checked all the settings as recommended on the page, I have reinstalled 6, I have checked my time and date calendar. I cannot install 7 as I have Windows 2000 (SP4). What can I do besides kick the crap outta my tower? (PS I know the page is accessable because I can pull it up with Foxfire. I cant use foxfire for my job, though.)

This may be due to your old windows (2000) and/or IE6. Windows 2000 is not often compatible with some things. I suggest you upgrade to IE7 (Internet Explorer 7.0) To update IE6 - IE7 I suggest you install windows XP.Once you buy XP, pop the CD in and install away!

When I saw your question I was going to suggest Firefox, but then you said you can't use it for your job so I didn't. Since I discovered Firefox, I no longer use IE. So, the best thing that I can suggest is that you check at the Microsoft website and see if there are any updates that you need for IE 6.

so uninstall IE 6
and work with firefox
