I think you should make up with your brother first. Then ask your Mom & Dad ifyou could talk to them. Tell them that you are really sorry & that you will try & make it up to your brother. And parents know when you really mean it or not so be serious. Helping around the house doesn't hurt but why don't you do something for your brother , something nice...Your parents will like that & they will see you're trying to make amends...Good Luck

It's not about saying your sorry ten thousand times or immediately doing all kinds of good things. It is about showing that you truly mean it by your actions over time. Talk to them and tell how you feel not just that you are sorry and then follow up your words with actions that show you meant it. PS What did you do??? That might explain why they are so mad.

Cleaning your room is something you're supposed to do, so when you clean it, don't think that you're doing something for your parents.

You showed a lack of respect for your brother, and that's what the issue is. If you make it right by him, your parents will probably ease up.

Hello, Well I suppose it all depends on what they got mad about. Did you appologize? That might help.....Show them you are genuinely sorry for what happened. Once they see you are trying to be responsible for your actions they will soon forgive and things will be be mended. I hope things go well for you. BTW Im a Mom and my son is now 21. So I understand. Good luck!

If you're honestly sorry, go apologize to your brother and to your parents. Then give them proof you'll never do it again. It's going to take a little time to completely repair the damage, but put in the effort, and they'll appreciate it.

Good luck--

Give it time.
They'll come around.
I fell out with my mom all the time, and now we are closer than ever, probably because I am a mom now too.

Just keep doing little chores and make the occassional drink for your parents, and keep this situation in mind the next time you are tempted to lie.

Yes, aren't you little darlings wonderful around the house when you've been naughty.

Stay out of trouble in the future, that's the best way.

I think what your parents want is for you to apologize to your BROTHER and see what you can do to make it up to him. Parents hate it when their children don't get along or disrespect each other.
