when you say anti-american things, why do soms americans always say that we have no respect for them helping us during WW2?

have respect for America, but helping us in WW2 does not justify what they are doing to the world now...

Who are "they"? Use more specific words and it'd be more clear.

If you're saying what I think you're saying, then yes we should be able to openly criticize our country because we care for it and not be accused of being anti-American. It's pro-American to raise your voice and have your say about what you think is the best direction for our country. Those who say otherwise are the most unAmerican of all.

you SHOULD care - not caring leads into arrogant and anti social disbehaviour that leads to wars.

We all live on the same planet and to be honest, I would like to keep it alive for quite some time and the way things are going now, the less it seems a good idea to keep it alive. Everyone is being anti social and very arrogant... for the record; the world does not owe the continuation of its existence to the USA or any other country. It owes it to the people living on it (ironically enough those are the same people ruining the place for future generations as well, but thats not the point of the matter here) The USA only became a world force in the early 20th century, after europe had fallen from grace after so many centuries of being the leading force. So relatively speaking the usa is only a young force, and no one owes anything to that country, especially since in the last couple of decades they've only made a mess of it anyhow - but the american population is not to blame, and I do not blame them, but neither do I thank them for their intake in the second world war. As for europe speaking german if it weren't for the americans - that's a fairy tale if i've ever heard one! Hitler killed himself before the war was over, and in his state of mind he would have killed himself anyhow, and that would have been the end of the third reich right there. The way people sometimes make it out to be is that europeans were nothing without the help of the usa. That is NOT true. Propaganda calling everyone to arms, claiming 'poor little belgium' where even peasants got attacked... poor little belgium did effing show its teeth during that war, but no one ever heard about the work of spies of the resistance faction did they?

And if we have to thank america for their services during ww2, then why, whenever i hear my grandparents talk about the second world war, do they mention canadian military, english, scottish military, but never american? I would rather thank all the forces involved than just the usa, thank you very much.

As to answer the above question. No, it definately does not justify that state's actions of the moment, and since neither the usa or europe is under chinese law, neither does the saying when you save someone's life you're eternally in their debt go up here. And if it does, it looks to me like the usa is clearing our - european - debts for us, by making some of their own...

I consider alot of the solutions right here, The Allies did win the war, no longer purely us of a of america! Now, the only way us of a of america did win the war itself is that we had our united states no longer invaded by potential of the different united states and subsequently, we've been waiting to maintain our industries going and furnish the the remainder of the Allies all in the process the war and did no longer complication approximately having our factories bombed out!!!! So, the way us of a of america did help Win the the war the main, to boot each and every of the squaddies and the A-Bombs, replaced into that we've been the availability element of the Allies and we did shop the war Going by potential of each and every of the components we've been waiting to furnish to the Allies!! additionally, the way the Russians did get into the war against Germany is that Hitler did come to a call he could attempt to triumph over Russia first and then go the Channel to Invade England. He did make his worst mistake right here!! Russia did pay him back for this by potential of starting to be a member of the Allies whilst it observed it replaced into maximum suitable to do!!!

A simple fact: any time somebody from one country criticizes somebody else's country, they're going to take offense in a way different than if it was one of their own citizens doing the criticizing. Same rule applies to people of every country.

So, expect a flare-up of bluster if you're not American and you criticize America, just the same way that people where you live would react if somebody from America criticized your country or your people. That's just human nature.

Prior to WW2 the world and the League of Nations ignored Hitler rebuilding the German armed forces even though it was against the treay of Versailles that ended WW1. Hitler was left alone because Europe thought that times had changed and Hitler was not threatening anyone.

Prior to Gulf War 2 the UN had sanctioned Iraq and authorized military action against Iraq for having WMDs and threatening to use them against Israel and the US. The UN stalled for Iraq twice and prior to liberating Iraq the bulk of the WMDs, including much of his nuclear program went missing.

Perhaps by entering Iraq Bush and Blair lost popularity, but they also may have averted WW3.

The USA didn't help anyone in WW2, they either faced the Axis in 1941 or they could wait until the axis was much stronger later, it was just self-preservation. If the USA really wanted to help, why did they wait two years until Japan and Germany declared war on them?

If it was not for america you would be speaking German right now. But who knows if 60+ years later this would be good or bad for you, but that is the fact. So if you think German is better than English then america did not really help you, if you think English better than German than you should keep thanking them/us. As far as things in the rest of the world, England and US work together, so whatever we do you are doing also, either directly or indirectly.

Not. We really don't care what you think of us. Whatever made you imagine that we DID?

As for what we are doing in the world right now, I fully believe that this was the correct course of action, regardless of the current setbacks.

It's too bad the world is full of craven appeasers who don't understand what's at stake - like it's the 1930's again.
