you can use painkillers to ease the pain but the best solution i have found yet is apply a bit of clove oil to the tooth and that should help sort it until you can get to a dentist of if you have a hole in the tooth you can also but temporary filings from your chemist. hope this helps

Cloves or clove oil is definitely the best solution. Plus, it's natural, easy to get (any grocery store sells cloves), and it makes your breath smell wonderful while working longer than orajel or anbesol or any of the other commercial remedies. Cloves numb your mouth for a looooooong time. If the tooth is also infected, the dentist wont touch you until you get rid of the infection. You can take Echinaecia - an herb that stimulates your body to produce antibodies - for the infection. Echinaecia can be found anywhere, walmart, a pharmacy, a health food store, etc. This has the added bonus of helping strengthen your body's defenses because when your body fights an infection on it's own (as opposed to taking antibiotics), your immune system becomes tougher.

Painkillers, or the clove thingy mentioned above, sound promising... however it's probably a good idea to see a dentist too, because the tooth/ filling may be cracked (therefore a huge cavity)... or you may need a root canal - if this isn't checked, the bone surrounding the tooth may start dissolving (abcessing, which spreads as well)... and you may lose the tooth/ teeth eventually...

I've had many tooth aches, here is what helps me. Try putting Ambosal on it & take some Motrin. Sometimes holding a heating pad on your cheek can help too. I hope you feel better. You should go to the Dentist if it keeps hurting. Good Luck!!

well for temporary quick relief, Anbesol or if Orajel. For a permanent fix, an immediate appointment with your dentist to find out the problem.
