I am 18 and drink at least once a week. I am wondering if people...older people...believe the US has a worse underage drinking problem then in the last few decades? Just wondering what everyone thinks on this.

yea its rebellion cause its illegal. look at europe, you can drink when your two.. i dont see huge binge drinking problems over there you know why? cuase they are all alcoholics already and pace themselves. the real problem is that oxy-cotton all the teens are after.. you know that legalized drug contains herion in it. sweet lady H is a serious problem amongst teens these days, cheap and messes you up.. beyond belief.. if you were my 18 year old i would say, ''have a beer with me boy, go out with some lady friends buy them some beer, get drunk and make a move, WITH PROTECTION" wake up and run it off, stay active, stay focuszed go to college, stay away from drugs and you'll have the time of your life.

Um yes, there is a horrible underage drinkning problem right now. Kids think it is so cool to follow the crowd and do nothing but drink. Most, not all, but most believe it's not possible to have a good time without the beer or whatever. Look at me I'm so cool. And the people that are a little bit older like 25 or so now look at them and think wow, did I act that stupid when I was their age. This is the reason for the increase in car accidents.

There has always been underage drinking. Back when I was young, our parents often let us drink at parties. The logic was that if we could drink when we wanted to at home, we wouldn't be so inclined to sneak around behind their backs. Of course back then the legal drinking age was 18. When I turned 16, my father told me that I could do as I pleased. He said that if I worked as hard as a man, I should be able to drink like one too. I started going to pubs and liquor stores when I was 16. I never got asked for proof. I never over did it though either. I really think it is our culture that peaks youths interest in alcohol. In Europe, wine is served with every meal and all are encouraged to consume it in moderation.

I really think the real problem is that there are no limits. In my opinion, most underage drinkers are drinking not for the social aspects of it but to actually get drunk. I learned my lesson a long time ago to limit my drinking, therefore, no puking or hang-overs.

I'm not older, I'm 22, but I started drinking when I was 17. Its not that hard to get a crack head to go in a liquor store and buy you something. I was also dating older guys, 22-26 that would buy it for me. I do think its a big problem. It is so easy to get it. Young people like that are not responsible enough to handle alchohol. I am speaking from experience, not just preaching.

I am 20 yrs old and ever since I was 13 I was served in liqour stores.

Kids are starting to drink and actually get drunk at the age of 10. It's disgusting.
