You could go to the dollar store and get huge candle votives (blue ones) and put white candles in them and then shot-gun glue some blue ribbons/pearls around the edges. That would be pretty. Or you could get inexpensive flowers and arrange them nicely.

I'm doing mine simple, elegant, and small, so as to not take up a lot of room. I'm getting a mirror square for the center and putting a small votive holder on top. You could do a clear holder and put a blue candle in the center. Around the candle on the mirror, you could do some small decorative flower swags. (Careful not to get something that will dry out quick.) Maybe white baby's breath. I'm doing mine with fall leaves and then using chocolate gold coins as a favor to lay around with the leaves. Sometimes less is more. If you are renting a banquet hall, you can always check with the manager to see if they have ideas or even items for you to use. If not, most of these items can be purchased at a dollar store or convenience store. Congrats and Good luck!

We had beautiful centerpieces for our wedding: we took glass cylinders (about 10" high) and put those colored rocks that look like jewels inside with water, and then floating candles on top, and we tied silver and green ribbon around the outside (had to glue it in spots so it would stay), and placed the whole thing on top of a small round mirror, and then sprinkled silk rose petals around. I bought the glass cylinders and the mirrors on eBay (cheap!!!) and got the rest of the stuff at Michaels, but any craft store should have them. We knew what we wanted to do, so we just waited for stuff we needed to be on sale--if you have the time to do that, I'd recommend it, but even if you have to buy them regular priced, it's still pretty cheap. There was a little bit of labor involved--gluing the ribbon on the cylinders was a total pain--but it was totally worth it. Our centerpieces were so pretty, and we only spent about $50 total for 15 of them. I think candles make the best centerpieces--they're way cheaper than flowers, and the candlelight is really nice. Congratulations--good luck!!
