I'm a retired stripper and have been asked to dance at a retirement party of someone who has been very good to me. I'm not worried about the moves.... I'm afraid I'm just not up to date on the music. Suggestions welcome.

"retired" means I am no longer in that line of work, not that I am OLD, for all you brainless morons out there...

the gentleman is not "old" either, there will be all ages of people there, mostly 25 to 35, all of these people work in the biz, so the music can't be lame...

I can't think of any new songs that would be appropriate BUT I've always thought that "Whipping Post" by The Allman Brothers is an absolutely fabulous song to strip to. I think, given the occasion, that would be a great song, it's a song and a band that the attendees will be familiar with. Besides, they probably wouldn't enjoy your dance as much if you were dancing to some new rap song or something. Good luck and have fun!!!

Wouldn't the retiree remember some of the music you used to use ?
How about "Fever" by Peggy Lee or Madonna, or "Venus" by Shocking Blue, "Hot Stuff" or "Last Dance" by Donna Summer (disco) from the '70's.

Ok, sorry. Find something that he associates with you. There's probably a favorite . Ask a friend to ask him. I still like "Fever", you could do it as a burlesque and not totally take it all off.Or, "Music " or "Vogue " by Madonna .

A retirement party and your looking for contemporary music?
How old is this Dude? Is anybody really going to be listening to the music?
You could play any old bump and grind tune and I don't think anybody will critique you, unless you are completely out of practice doll.

Well, if the party is for someone that is retired, then that means they are older...so go with what you used to dance to, don't try some of this new BS, the party crowd may not be into the new stuff.

since it is a retirement party, you don't need to worry about up to date songs, they all will understand the old ones, just dance to smoke gets in my eyes.

Well realistically, if he's the same age as you, he'll enjoy the same music right? But if not, search Erotic under Audio on Limewire (limewire.com in case you don't have it).
