It scared the pants off my girlfriend and she wouldn't let me go for the rest of the night. It's my favorite movie.

I used to be in its day. Carrie, if it's the same movie I saw, was a scary movie for the time it was filmed. I think it was the early eighties or late seventies (God I feel old right now). By today's standards it's not going to shake anyone up. Today's special effects and graphic scenes make Carrie a light weight by apples to apples comparison. In it's day though it was all the rage...lol
I didn't realize there has been a remake...Wow, I have to get out more.

The original movie was just good,weird,but very good.The remake is a dud.

Yes, and no... it's old, so sometimes it's funny... but there are scary parts.
