Attention to vinslave and others who just disagree with Christian morals...I am a Christian in training....it means, you are working towards reading your bible every day, living to be an example of God, having faith in God to help you through the tough times...that's what a christian in training is. And, just because some Christians go around trying to " throw the bible down your throat" doesn't mean we all do it. We believe in the One and Only God....that's our faith. If you don't like it , then don't comment! We are just trying to make sure that everyone is saved, whether it is with our religion or not. We just want to witness to everyone because we don't want anyone left here on judgement day that is sentenced to hell. ANd to those of you who agree with me...thankyou. It makes me feel more confident to proclaim the word like I'm suppose to!

That's right! Christians need to take a stand. If people don't like it, oh well. But at least they shoud try to understand that we have a purpose and a right standing up and saying what we believe. But that's just a part of it, the other part is so everyone who listens can be saved. Our intentions are good.

God bless you. I'm glad you are looking towards Christ, keep it up!

"Working towards reading your Bible every day..."? Wow, what faith you have sparky. You either read it or you don't and yet you're going around trying to "save" people who don't necessarily agree that your creator god even exists, and likely don't even agree with your narrow view of morality and such.

Reality check: You have faith and you believe in that stuff, good for you, however not everyone agrees with your philosophy and pov, and by running around doing what you're doing is simply sowing the karma of getting told off about it by those who don't like people like you doing that... i.e. what you're whining about... "bashing Christians". Cause and effect sparky. You push and the world pushes back.

I don't agree with pushing back all the time, but I do feel a need to "witness" to you that you don't have the market cornered on reality and truth and I think it's sad you need a cheering squad to buoy you up.... it shows you REALLY DON'T have all the faith you so loudly proclaim you do. METHINKS the woman doth protest too much...

What do you mean, saved whether it's with your religion or not? You'd be willing to "save" me with Islam?

Why do you find it your responsibility to "save" people who don't agree with you? This is what annoys people on here. Religion is a personal decision and everyone on this forum, for the most part, has already made that decision; we've done personal searching and research and we've all come upon the belief systems that fit us best. Some of us are Christians and some of us aren't -- and most of those, I would assume, don't WANT to be Christians either. You need to respect that. Cut it out with this "I'm just trying to save you from hell!" business -- that comes across as condescending whether you mean it that way or not.

"We are just trying to make sure that everyone is saved, whether it is with our religion or not."

That is a flat out lie. I'm pretty sure that lying is a sin, given that my uncle is a retired minister and my mother was a church secretary for 20 years.

You want to make sure that everyone is saved, whether it is with your DENOMINATION or not. You aren't the least bit happy that those of us who have found other paths and are content and prospering haven't found Jesus yet and don't accept your book as truth.

You go right ahead and study your Bible. That's fine. No one is stopping you from doing so. But don't expect us to roll over and play dead when you attempt to write YOUR views based on YOUR book into laws that affect US.

Liar.

So you are saying that you chritans don't force the bible down other people's throats for your own personal benefit you are just being racist thinking that your faith is better than everyone else's even though it's just as much of a hindrance as all faith is. Perhaps you should try a bit of your own bible before you tr forcing it on others your benevolent super being is far from pleasant. He's less benevolent more racist homophobic, jealous, patronizing, violent, vindictive and spiteful. Look it up try deuteronomy. Nice bit of the not so good book that. Say no to jesus.

Ok, but how do you know there even will be a judgement day?? How do you know that your religion and beliefs are the only correct ones? What you are describing is not "christian morals" its "religious doctrine". Spreading religious doctrine is what you are doing, not spreading morals... people are capable of developing their own moral system independent of religion. Telling people you are trying to save them from eternal damnation is not moral in and of itself, because it contains an inherent threat... using a threat of punishment to turn people to your beliefs is completely immoral. How do you know it isnt you who needs to be saved from the dogmatic group morality you ascribe too??

PS I am a spiritual agnostic, I have developed my own beliefs and morality... I am a good person, if it turns out there is a god that sends me to hell for living my life as a good moral person then I dont want to go to his heaven anyway because he must be quite an intolerant bastard.

Saved form what? From eternal damnation, so what do i get if accept Jesus, eternity at Ned Flanders' house, no thanks. Stop trying to save me, I'm a good person already and don't need your fairy tales to be a good person I do it because and I'm going to use caps because it's important, I'M GOOD BECAUSE IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO!

"living to be an example of God"

Does this mean I should kill non-believers, keep reading the bible, it's what turned me away from the Judeo-Christian idea of God.

You don't have to ALL do it for this country to degenerate into a Christian theocracy, which is happenning all too quickly. If you don't believe me, have a look at this website:

Being christian has nothing to do with morals, infact the more christian a person claims to be they seem to lack morals more. However you're belief is you're choice, providing it does not infringe on other peoples rights, and doesn't involve threats to people who do not share you're beliefs.

omfg...dont let a paper book think for you..wtf.
You have a brain and a heart, use them to live, not a book made in Rome. (Your "holy bible" is anything but holy. its been distorted through the ages by popes and emperors, theres little left of christs true teachings.
