I am looking for a good, true non-stick pan. I have tried T-Fal and the Calphalon one with the ridges, and they both stick! They were expensive ones, too. I have also tried a variety of the less expensive ones as well.

The ones I have now are from QVC, and they worked great for about a year. Now, they stick like crazy.

Back in the 90's, I had wonderful, truly non-stick teflon fry pans. You never had to grease the pan. I gave them away when I went to graduate school, and haven't been able to find a good one since. The ones I had then could not have been expensive, either, because I was a starving college student at the time with little money.

I don't have a problem with the teflon scratching or cracking. It's more like the surface gets tacky. I always handwash them, as I have heard the high heat of the dishwasher is bad for them. I now have an electric stove instead of gas, does that make a difference?

I don't have a brand name, but I can tell you I bought the cheap teflon one's at K-mart. To keep them non-stick condition them by rubbing some cooking oil into the surface after washing.

Calphalon doesn't make pans with ridges, so I think you may mean Circulon. I would recommend Calphalon very very highly. They are heavy weight and conduct heat tremendously well. The nonstick is lifetime and oven safe.
But whatever brand you buy, follow these rules...
do NOT put nonstick in the dishwasher
do NOT use metal utensils
do NOT cook on very high heat
and do NOT NOT NOT use pam or any other aerosol cooking spray. The alcohol in the spray will dry out the nonstick and make it crack, peel, and start sticking more and more over time. If your pan feels gummy or tacky, cooking spray is likely the culprit.
Be nice to your nonstick and it will be nice to you!

Pampered Chef's Professional Cookware. That is all I use. I bought my first pieces after watching a rep BURN a piece of American cheese in one of the pans on high or med-high for about 20 minutes. At the end she tipped the pan over a garbage can, touched the edge of the cheese with a spatula, and the cheese slid right out without another touch.

I have been using their cookware for over half a dozen years.

Not to be insulting, but if you're having so much trouble with non-stick pans you may want to try different cooking methods and/or techniques. Just a thought to try to help.

i am an avid cook and have tried alot of brands over the years, i think t-fal and faberware are two of the best,but the thing to remember is, even though they are nonstick you still have to use at least a little oil,butter or cooking spray,(i love pam butter flavor) don't use extremely high heat, and ALWAYS use wooden, plastic or silacone,utensils! try these tips and i think you'll have much better success without constantly spending money on new pans. good luck

I think the very best nonstick pan is a well seasoned cast iron pot and skillet. Once they are "seasoned" and you do not wash them with soap they are nonstick and will last you a lifetime. This is all I ever cook with-from eggs to fried chicken. The Lodge brand is a good one to invest in. Wal-Mart sells them.

I have a set of Rachel Ray cookware that I got on sale at Linens & Things and it is truely non stick. I have really been happy with it. I have also purchased some very expensive Cuisinart that stuck terribly. The RR set was less expensive and I have loved it.

Try Tupperware products, they are a little pricy but work great and last a long time. Or papmered chef

i use kitchenaid pans . they seem to last long without being special care full
