My brother passed away in the summer of a brain anuerysm, age 26, his name was david...shortly after, me and my younger sister found out we were both pregnant! We both agreed to name the babys after their fathers, if they are boys, but I have a strong feeling I, or both of us are having girls. My question is...does anyone have any suggestions on feminine names for david??? any help is greatly appriciated....thanks!!!

I knew someone called Davida (pronounced like Duh-vee-duh), but I didn't dig that one too much.

How about Vida? Feminine, with the same ending as your brother's name, and also it means life. That would be kind of a cool way to honor your brother's life and memory.

my mum passed away 3 years ago, from the same thing that took your brother away. my sister found out that she was pregnant not long after and she wanted to name her daughter after my mum. she was called angela patricia,my sister had a hard time trying to decide on a name for her daughter, and one afternoon we were sorting through a box of stuff and we found an old notebook that had been mums years before - just put away and forgotten - and we found this name just written down, it was an idea for a name for when i was pregnant with my daughter jessica, the name was chloe louise. perfect. maybe you could try the same. was there a name that your brother really liked?
i wish you and your sister all the best with your new babies and for your future years with them.
