My brother was put up for adoption at birth, my parents later married and I have another brother and sister. My mom contacted my brother 13 yrs ago and he told us to leave him alone,he is now 30 yrs old married w/ kids of his own. I would just like to meet him we only live about 1 hr apart, my parents have come in contact with people who know him and us and he has asked questions about us, but no contact. His adoptive mother has told him all kinds of lies about us that are not true, so we are told by reliable other people and she has threatned to disown him if he has any thing to do with us, everyone tells us she is a mean & bitter woman but I still want to meet my brother. Any suggestions?

you can only put out your hand in friendship, it will be up to him as to weather he accepts it or not, as for what was told to him, you have no control over that so you can not fix it , all you can do is make the offer
