The PBA and the use of the cards is a Northern thing...I'm born and raised in the South, and until I transferred in my job to New Jersey in 1998 I had never heard of the PBA. People show them when they get pulled over by the police, and 98% of the time it will get you off without a ticket. The other 2% of the time - like if the NJ State Police pull you over - you're screwed.

Down South, if you show a cop your pretty little PBA card, he's gonna ask you what the heck that is, and then he's gonna write you a ticket. PBA cards don't mean doodly-squat down South!

prince A---you have the guts to say a waste of your time??? imagine the time it would have cost you if you had gotten the ticket--had to go to court and wait hours and besides that get a fine and points on your license and have your insurance go up.??? I would say that its people like you that cause police officers to give tickets and not show courtesy to anyone .

oh yes PBA cards are honored by many police officers as are other police organizations that give them out==provided you are courteous to the officer
