I quite enjoy making burgers. Skillet, grill, George Foreman grill, whatever will cook'em I'll use. Any unique ideas on cooking styles, spices to add, or toppings to put on?

Believe it or not - peanut butter is EXCELLENT on a plain hamburger. I also use Lipton's French Onion Soup mix (dry) and mix it into my ground beef before making the pattys. Also have had taco seasoning mixed in. If you're grilling them, try grilling Romaine lettuce to put on top with a chilled tomato. (Season the lettuce with salt, pepper, garlic, and olive oil before grilling).

Best way for burgers, tho - is salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

I season my ground chuck with Lawry's seasoned salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Shape my patties, then cook them in a cast iron skillet until well done. I slice up a nice sweet onion and I grill them up in the pan, then I add a slice of American cheese and cooked hickory smoked bacon, tomato, and lettuce. Sometimes I add yellow mustard and Heinz ketchup. Pretty standard and simple.

Every now and then I also add a package of Lipton's dry onion soup mix to my meat, and that tastes good, too.

Diced jalepenos, onions and chopped garlic. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix into the meat then form the patties.

Grill for 4-5 minutes per side.

Idea's to add to beef before cooking:

Mix a little A-1 and chopped onion into the meat before cooking
Add BBQ Sauce to beef before cooking
Add some Lawry's Steak Seasoning, yellow mustard, salt pepper and chopped onion before cooking

Toppings:
Mix Mayo and French Dressing
Bleu Cheese, Bacon and Onion
Smoked Cheddar Cheese

This is one of my absolute favorite burgers:
To a pound and a half or so of ground beef, add
3/4 cup crushed potato chips
1/4 cup pickle relish
whatever seasonings you wish
mix up and make into patties

after grilling, serve on toasted english muffins with a dallop of french onion dip and some more crunched up chips
sounds weird, but I love it.
