The Bible clearly lets us know that God does not hate divorce, it's many of the motives behind divorce today that God is against. I believe that some divorces are the healthest thing certain couples could do. But keep in mind, a large majority of marriages today wasn't build upon a Godly foundation from start.

Does God Hate ALL Divorce?
"The thing that bothered me a lot," admits Pat, "was the thought that 'Jehovah hates a divorcing.' Always in the back of my mind was the question, 'Am I doing what pleases Jehovah?'"
Let us look at the context of Malachi 2:16 to answer that question. In Malachi's time many Israelite men were divorcing their wives, possibly to marry younger, pagan women. God condemned this deceitful, treacherous conduct. (Malachi 2:13-16) Hence, what is hateful to God is the frivolous putting away of one mate so as to take another. One who deceitfully commits adultery and then either divorces his mate or pressures her to divorce him has committed a treacherous, hateful sin.
However, these verses do not condemn all divorce. This can be confirmed by Jesus' words: "Whoever divorces his wife, except on the ground of fornication, and marries another commits adultery." (Matthew 19:9) Here Jesus acknowledged that fornication is an acceptable ground for a Scriptural divorce—indeed, the only acceptable ground that allows for remarriage. An innocent spouse might decide to forgive the erring marriage mate. However, a person who chooses to use Jesus' statement as a basis for divorcing an adulterous mate is not doing something that Jehovah hates. It is the unfaithful spouse's deceitful conduct that is hated by God.

Not all Christian religions forbid divorce, as a matter of fact none of the Christian religions forbids divorce, some don't issue it with ease compared to others, even Catholics allow couples to separate if they cannot live together, it is a long process with the Catholics, but it is done.

Mark 10
Jesus said that divorce and remarriage is adultery unless that divorce was predicated on unfaithfulness. Adultery is a sin, according to the ten commandments in Exodus.

Viewpoint 1. God hates divorce.
Viewpoint 2. The Israelites were to put away the idolatrous people from them (Ezra & Nehemiah). Since man(kind) is as a god (Gen. 3) since before leaving the Garden of Eden; that includes all of us.

God is against divorce, except if there is adultery. >Malachi 2:16
"I hate divorce," says the LORD God of Israel, "and I hate a man's covering himself with violence as well as with his garment," says the LORD Almighty. So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith.
So it is a sin to divorce, but the exception is if there is adultery from the other spouse. And it also says not to marry a divorced person--but if you are widowed you may re marry.
Matthew 5:32
But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.
Matthew 19:9
I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery."
1 Corinthians 7:39
A woman is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes, but he must belong to the Lord.

I think that a marriage should be saved at all costs, but if the relationship can not be repaired,or it is harming those connected to it,then divorce is OK.

Well, it is wrong. God clearly clarifies that. But in some cases, like if your life were in danger or they were cheating, it is accepted. Not if you have fallen out of love or you just don't like them anymore. It is a commitment that you need to stick too. Love is a choice!
