Why is it that just because some christians (or other religions) don't act entirely the way they should...why are we bashed? I mean, just because I don't always act or show God in a completely Godly way doesn't mean that I can't identify myself as a christian...I am a Christian in training. Anyone else feel the same way?!?

When your a Christian persecution is the name of the game.

(John 15:17) These things I command you, that ye love one another.
(John 15:18) If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

They don't hate us, they hate what we stand for

Well, from a religious stand point...nobody is perfect, everyone makes mistakes, and there will be times when Christians or other religious people don't act the way they should. It's human nature. If you believe in God and Jesus and worship them, attend Christian churches, read and study the Holy Bible, and overall act in a Christian way...you are a Christian. I personally don't believe the Christian beliefs, though my entire family is Christians. It's a personal choice. People bash religions because they just don't believe or agree. You have to learn to live with it. Some people just don't understand anything that's different to them. All you can do is ignore it.

Number one no one should judge another human, we are not perfect no one on this earth is perfect. In stead of judging we are suppose to teach the word. Meaning we are to let everyone know about the God we serve and the great things he has done for us. Hoping that they to will discover the God we serve. Everyone will sin that's why he sent his son Jesus to die for our sins, so that when we sin we can ask for his forgiveness. Furthermore, do not worry about what someone has to say about your way of living, as long as you are happy and as long as you think God is happy do you. The closer your relationship is with God the more the devil will attack you. Everyone, who claims they are Christians are not. Know that you where put on earth to serve him. God knows that we are not perfect look at the world we live in who could be? Also, we all will take different steps when building that relationship with God. Sometime we might step backwards, sometimes we might fall but sure as we fall we will get up. Keep living your life honoring God he will see you through.
God Bless You and Your Family

I feel like if you shove Christianity down someone's throat, then that person will rebel... I know I did. But now I think that I am on a right path. At times I don't want to go to church and I don't always read my Bible. Sometimes I don't feel like praying but at the same time I don't just completely ignore God and then when I need something I call out for him because it doesn't work like that. But overall if you have a pretty good relationship with him and you keep a little bit of contact with him, that's fine because he's gonna be here for you when you really need him.

I do to some extent but you have to realize what Christ said. WE are the light and the salt of the world and the world notices when it's light goes out... even if it's only for a moment. Keep your head up and don't worry. GOD will be your judge. Don't worry about what people think. But try to be perfect, even though this is a hard thing to do. There are so many ways to fall in this world, but those who remain faithful will be saved. There will be better days :0)

Christians need much better overall testimony to this world. We ,as followers of Christ stand for high claims and standards. If we don't practice what we preach, we are just hypocrites. On the other hand there are backbiters that are looking for occasion to bash Christians just for anything so that's also not OK. But let's live a life worthy of Christ's name and give them no opportunity. OK?

I'm Catholic, so I feel the same way. I'm not like my aunt, who is a religious nut! She thinks that if u r not HER religion, u r a bad person and should be banished to Hell, but I DON'T think that. I'm telling ya, she makes me feel like dog cr*p when she talks about religion, because I get dragged to church every Sunday and to religious classes, and because I don't think religion is a very important topic 2 me. Just because I don't say," God is looking after me," or "There is some angel looking after me," doesn't mean I don't believe in God or religion. Also, my aunt shuns my best friend because she is a non-practicing Catholic, and wants 2 turn 2 the Wiccan way of life once she turns 18. In general, I don't like talking about what religion I belong 2, because it is a very sore subject 2 me. I'm a self-proclaimed athiest, but still I'm dragged to church because my family doesn't believe that I would fall under that category. So I continue to go to church, unwillingly, and get the thrilling enjoyment of getting thrown into church again for religious classes. By the way, I told my parents that once I'm done with these religious classes, that's it for church, too. I'm fed up with Catholics who think that they are better than everybody else. Does that answer ur question?

PJ your fooling yourself; we should try to do the right thing all the time: I am not a Christian either, but many people have excused me of being one. I fallow the teaching of Waltonka--The Great Spirit not the false God of the bible. Who change from a mean God before Christ to a Father figure after Christ; WHY?

That is not nearly as important an issue as the question of why you should believe in such a delusion as Christianity in the first place.

I do. We still sin even though we are christians. People think we have to be perfect. But we are not by a long shot. Just like everyone else. But if you say one wrong thing, you get bashed.

Christian in training?! Sit, beg, roll over? You're training to do what? Either you follow Christ's teachings and agree with them or you don't, what's to "train"? OR are you TRAINING to think like someone else tells you to? C'mon already...

You know the answer to the question. Think about it.
