It only takes about 4 minutes to get it just right. Move the top rack up as high as it will go and let your oven heat up at least 5 minutes. Place the salmon in a pan or oven safe plate. Season if you like, but it doesn't need it. Place your oven on broil at about 400-450 degrees. Don't let it cook a minute too long or the dryness kills the yumminess with every second passed. Be sure to buy WILD salmon, not farm raised. The farm raised salmon are fed strangely, effecting the fish.

For grilling I bought a grilling cage so I can flip it without it falling apart. With the cage you can also skin it before cooking to ensure its grilled evenly and the flavors of any marinade sink in.

My favorite marinade is Real Maple Syrup. Soak the fillet or steak for about 15 minuted the grill. Until the inside is done and the outside is slightly crispy.

You can also marinade in OJ or Lime Aide concentrate with some soy sauce added to either.

Kind of embarrassing to admit but use the George Foreman grill and it takes about 4 minutes to cook perfectly...you'll get the grill lines on it and the outside will be flaky and the center should have a tiny bit of darker pink.

I like to marinade mine in lime juice and Thai seasoning before cooking it. You can marinade as little as 5 minutes but it's better if it's a little longer, like 30 minutes.

I've baked them in parchment paper but prefer the GF grill!

I lay the salmon on aluminum foil, rub with lemons, sprinkle with with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper & seasoned salt. Roll up the foil to cover & grill over medium heat for 20-30 minutes until it is flaky.

It's really good.
