a friend named his female chocolate lab....Cabela (like the hunting outfitter's store)

Remington sounds like the type of gun and Cabela would go good with that. i also have a black lab female and we named her Dixie.

Remington is definitely a "boy" name (strong sounding and masculine). : ) So, try to come up with something more feminine for your new baby. The possibilities are endless... which, I guess, is why you're here asking us. ; )

What about a "designer" name such as Channel or Versace? Channel's Stary Ten Limit or Versace's Stary Ten Limit?

My first thought, however, was of something related to chocolate (how stereotypical, I know... siiigh). What about using your favourite chocolate bar... I guess "Snickers Stary Ten Limit" might not sound terribly "fashionable" - kind of cute, though. *smile*

"Couverture" chocolate is a professional type of chocolate, which is really glossy because of the high cocoa butter content. It is used for coatings usually, but also on truffles. I don't know what you would use for a short name, though, on that one... Covie? Couverture Stary Ten Limit is quite a mouthful! No pun intended.

Alright, how about "Truffles" (Truffles Stary Ten Limit)? She could be "Truffie", or "Ruffles"...??

It will be cool to see all the ideas people send you. Don't forget to tell us what you pick! I wonder if all chocolate labs have green eyes. Interesting. Enjoy your new puppy.

I like the idea of Cabela that plzhelp said. Also I know everyone has listed the typucal chocolate names, but you could name her something totally opposite like Blackie. We had a black lab named Coco at the clinic I worked for. The lady had her niece name her and she liked the name Coco so it stuck. how about the name Pistol? It can be a girls name but is a type of gun. Well thats all I've got right now. I hope this gives you some ideas.

My cousin has a chocolate lab and named her Cocoa (or some variation of spelling). Some other names could be Princess, Kenya, Sasha. Or you could look into other food names, or even coffee names, like Coffee, Toffee, Fudge, Mocha, or more. Do your research. Find a topic you like for names (whether it be people names, food names, coffee names, or whatever) and look into that category. If you find a name that doesn't match your other dog's, I think that's cool too! Good luck!
