X speeds up the nervous system and acts as a mood enhancer - which is "high". So YAY! you're super happy, but it also damages seratonin levels in your brain... so eventually you're depressed beyond belief without it... Cocaine gets a person "high" by blocking the reuptake of the neurotransmitter dopamine in the midbrain. When cocaine is processed, it doesn't come out the same each time it's made, so it's potency is not measurable... whoever is selling it can also lace it with other ingredients to save costs and the user won't know until they take it... The addiction is MUCH harder to quit with cocaine, as the body will STOP functioning properly without it... it's more than a mental thing, the addiction carries negative physical effects as well.
here's some info on Ecstasy:

here's some info on Cocaine:

while E might not kill you the first time you use it (the chances of it being laced is less common in pill form, however you REALLY have NO IDEA how you're body will react to it) Over time you'll become one miserable DEPRESSED S.O.B. with regular use.
The chances of dying from using Coke the first time are VERY high...
Either way you're brain dead eventually.
Step away from the drugs.

There are a few things to be careful of...
Cocaine is highly addictive, so even if using it a little now & then doesn't seem to be a problem, it will eventually become an irresistable habit that will be very hard to break. The other problem with cocaine is that it can cause sexual function problems for guys...not something most guys want to mess with! Also, in order for drug dealers to make a profit when they sell coke, they "cut it" with other similar-looking powders, and this can be anything from baking soda to forms of methamphetamines. You never really know what you're getting, 'cuz most drug dealers aren't prone to being truthful.
Ecstacy, X, E...there are lots of names, but this is mainly a party drug, and it has been known to cause seizures, permanent brain damage, and even death in some people. Also, it is usually laced with methamphetamines, which are highly addictive and damaging to your brain and body. Also, Ecstacy causes people to act in really weird ways...for example, someone who is usually very responsible and cautious when they're not high, will often forget all the things they are usually careful of & do really twisted things when they're high on E. Someone who would normally use a condom for sex, and only sleep with partners they actually know & like, will get high, then suddenly they'll sleep with a whole bunch of people in one night without any protection, and they won't care who they're sleeping with, what they look like, or what diseases they might have. When you think about it, that's gross & kinda freaky.

You know what? It is.
Cocaine causes depression afterwards, rapid heartrate during use (can lead to heart attacks and seizures), destroys your nasal membranes making you prone to infection (those little hairs in your nose and the mucus are part of your immune system - they trap bacteria).
Ecstacy is worse. Even occasional use causes a kind of brain damage. It screws with a neurotransmitter called serotonin. These cells control the part of the brain that retains short term memories and learning. Lots of comparative studies have been done against occasional users of X against people who don't. The X users do more poorly on both memory and comprehensive tests. Several points lower, and the effect lasts way beyond your usage of the drug. You're killing between 20 and 60 percent of your serotonin in your brain when you use it. Do you know how long it takes to replace that serotonin? Approximately 20 weeks, or FIVE MONTHS. And that's only if you don't use at all in that time period. In simple terms, your friend is knocking a couple of points of his IQ every time he uses it. That wouldn't be terribly noticable to you. Over time, it will be. He's making himself stupider as time goes on. Not to mention that X is manufactured by people who don't always know what they are doing. Seizures, heart attack, coma, brain damage and death are becoming more and more common for people buying bad X.
Your brain is a huge gift. Learn and use it. Don't screw around with it. Its not something they can just replace or put back together easily.

Ecstacy is much more risky to try one time than cocaine. The only problem with coke is that once you are on it you want to do more and more so you are going to be spending more money because you want that buzz to keep going.
There have been so many cases of people dying from first use of ecstacy. It can react badly or you could be really allergic to it and it could be lethal.

Crack seems to do greater permanate recommendations injury inflicting Demiteia and that i'm not sure why.... Herion shoppers do no longer look to stay long in any respect... Even the mild shoppers purely stay to mid Fifties .. Shrooms i might say are not that undesirable because of the fact maximum purely use some circumstances... LSD is non addictive i say injury is likewise decrease except the guy is dumb and does it in severe dosages long term.. Exastacy is addictive and intensely recommendations detrimental... So it might additionally rank greater at risk.. all of it has to do with doseages and how long the guy makes use of.. yet low dose organic meth may well be the least undesirable... Herion worst. Crack 2d worst.. too plenty espresso may well be my determination of a third... Extacy after espresso .. LSD and then shrooms.. Least low dosagage meth.

I know a lot of people want to experiment and believe me I have myself...I don't know where you're from but here in Detroit a few months ago, someone was lacing coke & herion with a painkiller used for cancer patients which proved to be a deadly combination. I think about 100 people died from doing coke JUST THAT ONE TIME.
I've also heard of X killing people their first or second time using it.
Bottom line is, it's risky.

the thing is, cocaine is hella rediculously addictive. so i would not try that even once. i would be a much better man, and also not have 3 lost years if i hadn't tried "just one" line of coke. also, it'll make you broke, and you will sell your soul to get another fix. don't, for the sake of yourself.
ecstacy on the other hand is not as addictive. be somewhere safe and comfortable, with people you know you can trust. drink lots of water (but don't over do it). i think that as long as you don't fully overdo it with E its ok. but it does have a tendency to make people horribly depressed a few days/ a week later, and they take another pill to feel happy again, resulting in dependancy.
but i doubt he's having fun on either of them.

Hard drugs like cocaine, and Ecstasy, causes different effects on the body.
Cocaine=increases breathing, heart rate, blood pressure and decreases appetite, reduces the need to sleep. The may develop sleep disorders, sexual problems, dramatic mood swings and delusions and paranoia.
Ecstasy=Memory loss, depression for long term users, permanently depressed insomnia, emotionally dull.
If you see major changes in your friend I would do an intervention. Ecstasy is more addicting than cocaine, and more accessible.
I had lived with a drug addict for 10 years and it ruined his life. He is not allowed to see his child. I haven't been with him for 3 years. It is an expensive habit. Extremely hard to quit, unless your friend is ready on his/her own to quit.
My ex used to do 'up' (cocaine) and 'down' (heroin)

Neither one of them are ok. Never. Just because he thinks he has it under control doesnt mean nothing will happen to him. Aside from overdosing, addiction, health problems, prison, it only takes 1 time for him to get some laced drugs to kill him. It is more common than you think. Or if he mixes something he doesnt know he shouldnt, he could die from that. It is not ok and you should try to get him to stop or if something happens to him, you are just as liable for his death as the person who sold him the drugs and him.

Why take that chance your self look it up your self on the web and see for your self. Please don't get into that stuff if your friend wants to keep doing it stay away from them.
