Non-south asian language speaking ppl need not answer.

My brother-in-law said this to me and I feel embarraced to ask him what it means so I thought i'll try here. I guess it's a compliment maybe, as he followed by saying i'm quite an important person.

What can you tell me about this line?

Thanx.

I think it is some what aggressive. It means you should treat your brother-in-law at par with any other God. I personally dont like it.

If it is your brother-in-law who said this, this is not good according to my understanding.

But just smile it off and be careful.

joru ka bhai is wife's brother. It means whole world on one side and wife's brother on another, literally translated. Its meaning can differ in context but it indeed is an compliment. For your brother-in-law you have more preference over any other person, thats what it means.
