First of all, I can't believe that anyone would agree to sending one more person, let alone 20,000 to Iraq. This approach is counterproductive. We need to have our troops exiting, not entering Iraq.

I do not believe for one minute that this war was warranted.
We didn't belong there. There were not weapons of mass destruction and Saddam was not a serious threat to our nation's security. There are lot of crazy leaders in our world. I don't see us going after them!

I think the Bush administration did more harm than good by starting this war. It is already a fact that what was done so far, didn't work. Why would it work now by sending more people over there? It will result in more bloodshed and more problems.

My opinion is to send everyone home NOW. I think we've done enough damage over there.

In the past century Islamic fundamentalism has been on the rise, and with that terrorisms, revolutions, and upheavals ensued. Millions of lives were lost and still counting. Let us pause for a moment and take a second look at Islam. We may just have made a mistake.

The reason I think Islam is harmful and must go is not due to the fact that Quran says Earth is flat or the stars are missiles that Allah fires at the genies who climb the heaven to eavesdrop the conversation of the exalted assembly. These tales could even amuse us. Islam must go because it teaches hate, it orders killing the non-Muslims, it denigrates women and it violates the human rights.

Islam must go not because it is false but because it is destructive, because it is a danger; a threat to peace and security of humankind. With the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction in Islamic countries, Islam has become a serious and a real threat to the survival of our civilization.

Well, I'm a conservative Christian and I don't believe we should be in Iraq. It's not just a liberal complaint. We have no business being over there, and it's costing us human lives. Trying to force democracy down the throats of countries that don't want it is foolish. They want Islamic rule, so let them have it. If they truly believe in Allah, let us withdraw and let Allah save them from whatever disaster ensues. Islam and democracy cannot mingle, and they're not giving up Islam anytime soon.

Go for it. My father was in WWII and I always love the support of the country in those days, we were a people unified for a single purpose. Now we seem so soft, it is hard to see our men and women die, but one should never go into the military without being prepared for something like this.

We made a commitment to the Iraqis and we should see it through, like it or not. I know it is so rare in today's society to think in such a way, with all the divorces, single mothers, abandoned kids, etc. Nobody understands doing something greater then ones self any more. Sad really.

we are already at conflict with Iraq congress gave him the best back in 2003. The president can no longer declare conflict yet he can deliver troops everywhere he desires to he's the commander of the defense force the only ingredient congress can do is shrink off investment.

He did it twice already, and it didn't work then.

He is utterly clueless, and his "exit plan" is simply called "January 20th, 2009". Just dump the problem in someone else's lap.
