'white australia' is a very very old concept that used to exist in the olden days, around the 1900's when Australia was establishing itself as a colony (alot of other countries where also abit racist back then), they wanted to continue the majorily european character of the population. Now it is dripping with multiculturalism.

It's an old concept BUT it isn't completely in the past. Yes it IS an extremely multi cultural country but there are many that do not appreciate it. As a place to live, it is a wonderful country...IF you do manage to get a permit. That's to say they WILL NOT discriminate on race if you are an educated person that can offer something to the economy. If you're hired by a company and you are the best person for the job, your way to getting residency there is pretty smooth. If you aren't educated though, then you'll have ALOT of trouble, as would anybody from anywhere. So don't worry about race blocking you from living there when it comes to the government. What could effect you is the mentality of some of the people from there. This is the not so pretty side of Australia.

Around xmas 2005 there were racially driven riots in a couple of the beach suburbs of Sydney. "Invites" were sent out via text messages, calling for people that supported the "White Australia" ideal, to meet up at x place on x day to protest. Prostesting quickly turned to a day of "Let's beat up the darky".
The tolerance to refugees there is also borderline zero, the preference being to hold people looking for asylum at detention centres (literally, jails) in the outback for months if not years at a time until a decision is made. A few years back you may have heard of them dumping boat-loads of refugees on Christmas Island. Several other countries had to step in and take care of these people.
And not much further back, there was also a woman politician by the name of Pauline(?) Hanson who ALMOST made it into power with her extremely popular views on immigrants and foreign nationals. These views ranging from this race here eat their babies to the filthy monkeys from there will bring disease and worse.
How they treated the Aboriginal people was far worse. Up until the late 60's, they weren't even considered human...part of the local flora and fauna was what they were classed as. To demand an Aboriginal jump off a cliff or get shot wasn't unknown in the early years of the 20th century. Also, for a couple decades any child born of mixed race was immediately taken away from their aboriginal family and adopted out. Those people today are called the "Lost Generation".

Not as bad as race issues in the U.S but still pretty harrowing. Don't worry about race blocking your entry, just know that it may block your wanting to stay.

No, Australia only allows LEGAL immigrants, not the ILLEGAL ones who try to sneak in off boats. We lock the ILLEGAL ones up in our lovely detention centers. But we allow anyone, black or white in, as long as they have the right papers. Oh yeah Motorcity, go screw yourself! Australia is a beautiful country, with fantastic people, and you would be lucky to live here!!!

No this isn't true, what nationality are you?. You do have to pass a test on Australian knowledge (which isn't very difficult!). To get in to NZ i know that you have to pass english tests and health and criminal tests which i'm sure is the same for Australia.

i do not see how the Jews are going to steer multiculturalism even as they're in a sixty 5 three hundred and sixty 5 days previous religious/territory warfare with Palestine. The "white" international places you cite already embody multiculturalism. Muslims have equivalent rights in those international places. it truly is the Muslim international places (some besides) that favor to embody multiculturalism, and Israel needs to besides.

No, Australia doesn't only allow white immigrants..
Australia is very multicultural and there is a diverse range of races here.
The term white Australia is a very old term and is not relevant to Australia today...

IF this is true then how come we have Asians and Africans living here? I am sure you are smarter than that! I think you are asking this kind of questions just to get some people to react and start the name calling. Haha, I am not falling for that one.
