I pray the way I talk, really. I "talk" with God (silently), tell him my fears, my hopes. As far as faith, well, I guess I pray with faith. God is my best friend, as it were...

I pray first, the Word. I don't wish anything. We aren't called to wish...

I pray with authority. I Pray above all in Jesus name.
I pray in the spirit, then wait, as the Holy Spirit will tell me what to pray for.

For instance, once praying with someone about a skin disorder. We prayed for healing, but the reason why. The Lord told me it was nerves that was bringing this condition, so I knew to pray for peace for that person, not just the disorder manifest.

Sometimes I see a vision in praise and worship, and I know that is the sermon, or what someone at church needs.

The more your talk to God, the more He will answer.

Blessings as you seek to talk to God, Vicki

I pray whenever and wherever I feel the need. I sometimes pray at my voodoo altar at home. Sometimes in bed, sometimes in the car, or at work. I ask God and the spirits to help me with what I need help with. But mostly the spirits. God would tend to be a very busy being, with lots of bigger and more pressing issues than any of my problems to deal with. The Saints are there to help us with our more mundane issues...sickness, health, family, pets, friends, homes. There is a patron saint for just about everything, and I pray to them for help. This is part of my faith. I also pray to the African loas - spirits, based on their expertise as well. I light candles and offer the saints gifts in exchange for their help.

Praying... When you pray, you talk to God like he is a normal person. Treat him with respect. Just tell him your thoughts. He will help you. You need to pray with faith. You can use any words that are good. And remember to pray for those who need help. Like help in healing wounds. Just remember to end your prayar with "In Jesus name I pray, Amen" and try to begin it with "Dear Heavenly Father". Thank him for today. Thank him for everything that you have. Your family, friends, food, home. But also ask him for help whenever you need it. Whatever it is for. Pray every night.

I try to pray in many different ways. Silently and verbally. I need to get back into the habit of visualizing who it is I'm praying to, for, about. I do my best not to be repetitive in my prayers, although I do tend to pray about things more than once, and express my thanks in many ways. I was taught to pray by first expressing thanks and gratitude to God for the things He has blessed you with, then ask for specific blessings for others, then for yourself. To always pray with faith, believing you will recieve, and when possible/appropriate pray vocally. I tend to be rather formal in my prayers, using Thee, Thou, adding "th" to some words, etc and stearing clear of the more familiar You, Your, etc.

Praying is alot more simple than people make it, you dont have to close your eyes, you dont have to be quiet or talk out loud, all you have to do is talk to God, just like he is your friend, after all the bible says he is a friend that will stick closer than a brother. so just open up your heart, and talk to God.

First rid your mind of any rational thought. then focus on trying not to anger the diety. make your request and then think up some ways of using normal everyday occurences to rationalise your made up outcome. then take your story and try to pass it along to other weak minded people. heck you may even be able to start a new religion and if you do then you can force people to listen to you.

with faith, thanking God, surrendering to his plan, asking for wisdom, visualizing that it's done

Jesus taught how to pray (the father's prayer) not the exact words to pray.

Basically the father's prayer is thanking god, surrendering to his will, asking for forgiveness...etc

Asking for stuff from God is not the best thing to do... you just serve him and everything else falls into place.

It's about a lifestyle, not 1 prayer.
