I came to US 10 years ago with tourist visa, but then decided to study here. I then switch the tourist visa to studnet visa (F-1). I've always wanted to go back to visit, but afraid that the immigration officers will question me why I didn't have student visa before I came to US. So I havn't gone back to my country for 10 years. Supposely (my plan is) I will go back to my country for good after got my master degree, but I don't want to wait that long. I want to go back this summer for a visit. Should I risk it?

Look find you a real good immigration attorney. You have a mess on your hands. From what you are saying you need to find an attorney immediately especially if you want to return this summer for a visit. You are probably looking at a fee of $2000.

If you were granted change of status from tourist (B1/B2) to student (F-1), then you hold a valid F-1 visa as long as you are currently enrolled full time in school. When you leave the country, be sure to carry your passport/visa and a copy of a new SEVIS I-20 for travel from your International Students Office. Persons in valid F-1 status are allowed to leave the US for temporary periods. You may be asked about your finances and your intention to return home after completing your studies, but you should be fine.

I don't see why not - as long as your visa isn't expired you shouldn't have any problems (better ask someone working in the field though, just to make sure)
