I like to use a white sauce and serve over noodles.
For sauce, in a small saucepan melt 2 tablespoons butter or margarine. Add 1 cup sliced mushrooms and 1 clove of minced garlic. Cook until tender. Stir in 1 tablespoon flour. Add 2/3 cup milk all at once. Stir together 1/2 cup sour cream, 1 tablespoon flour, and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg. Stir into mixture in saucepan. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly, then cook and stir 2 minutes more.
Meanwhile, cook noodles according to the package directions. Drain. Transfer noodles and chicken to a platter. Top with sauce.
I just have a fresh green salad with this.

I've never had it with sauce. I would think it would mess up the "crust"., but I guess you could use a white sauce, or even some Alfredo Sauce from a jar (but thin it with milk or cream and add a sprinkle of onion powder)
For dessert, have something simple with fruit- like a layered jello dessert using lemon and orange flavors, whipped topping inbetween the layers.

The sauce for cordon bleu would be the cheese inside.
As a side, perhaps a steamed green vegetable - beans or asparagus.

I serve potato's or pasta (Believe it or not Past A-Roni has some really good side pasta dishes - the Angel Hair with Herbs is great).
And some steamed broccoli
