Please don't mislead people about Islam.
He consummated meaning vaginal penetration. He married her at 6 years old and consummated the marriage when she was roughly 9 years old.
However he was allowed to fondle his wife as early as 6 years old and a thing called thighing where he could rub his penis in and out of her thighs at whatever age he married her.

The world was different then. Girls were married off at a very early age. In other religions/cultures some girls were married off at birth but marriage would not be consummated until the girl began her menses.
