1) It supposes that the USA is facing an energy crisis,
2) that the reason(s) for this crisis can be identified,
3) that there are possible solutions to the crisis,
4) that you have views concerning the possible solutions,
5) that there exist objects that can support your views, and
6) that you can bring this object.

Example:
1) there was a fear that heating oil was becoming too rare.
2) reasons include; people want to heat their houses (maybe more than strictly needed)
3) it may be possible to convince people to heat less (thereby reducing the demand for oil),
4) Your view could be that 3 is impossible unless people are given ways to combat the cold
5) giving people woolen sweaters may convince them to heat less,
6) bring a woolen sweater.

another example
1) USA may run out of gasoline for everyone's SUV.
2) not enough countries are producing gasoline for USA,
3) take control of a oil exporting country
etc.

Another example
...
4) You do not believe that a crisis really exists
5) Your favorite gas-powered leaf-blower
6) bring it (or an image, if you can't take it on the bus)

etc.

I think the term "energy crisis" could be referring to a number of issues. The dependence on foreign oil is certainly one of the major issues involving an energy crisis right now, so articles on the rising price of oil, the availability of oil, and politics with our chief importers, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, the UK would all be appropriate. It also could refer to the excessive use of energy resulting in increased CO2 emissions that many believe are contributing to global warming and other resource issues. Personally, I'd stick with the oil topic, but you could really address any resource and tie it to energy and the US's huge demand for energy leading to deficiencies.

Energy Crisis would mean like Shortage of Oil. So if you agree that we need to drill for more Oil bring in an article that for instance supports drilling in ANWR. If you disagree that we should drill then bring in an article that talks about things like solar, wind power, hybrid vehicles etc. Hope this helps.

First, decide what you think is a solution to the energy crisis (ie, how can we dramatically reduce our need for non-renewable energy sources, specifically oil).

For instance, you might think it would make a big difference if we switched to electric cars, or if all buildings had solar panels.

Then you would search for articles that talked about solar power or whatever.

Simple one would be an article on Energy efficient cars. Gas/Electric Hybrids. But only if you agree with the idea of energy efficient cars. If you think they're a waste of money or stupid, then you don't support the article.

It means find an article about something that works toward solving the energy crisis, such as "GM unveils no line of hybrid cars", which would be alluding to the use of less fuel and being more environmentally-friendly.

Get a picture of the oil rigs being built in the Gulf of Mexico by the US. This is done to supplement OUR need for gas and energy.

Building oil facilities will make us less reliant on other countries for our nation's energy needs. When the OPEC countries cut oil production, we in the US will pay higher prices at the pumps for gas, for example.

Take in a pair of shoes. State that you walk instead of driving short distances because you support the energy conservation plan.
