She struggles with depression and has started cutting again :( We think it is a hormonal imbalance that always seems to go with her menstral cycle. She was refered to a specialist but they keep canceling! She needs help before she seriously hurts herself again. I feel completely helpless to do anything. She is also very lethargic. What to do? :( We think it also might be a thyroid problem. I am so torn up about all of this.

There are plenty of doctors out there that will take the time to see your girlfriend. You can find a new one here http://www.ucomparehealthcare.com/drs/psychiatrists/ or if it's an immediate need get her to the ER ASAP.

Take her to the ER. They will have a on call Dr come in and talk to her.
You do not want her doctor to be one who constantly cancels appts when it involves such a serious matter. If nothing else get a referral for a different specialist.

One solution would be to have her taken to the ER. From there, they will practically be obliged to send her to a specialist for further investigations. Do not waste your time and nerves on that "freaking specialist" because health is more important than money or "busy" people.

Find another Dr. Plain and simple. Tell them the situation, so they know what they are dealing with. Sometimes it takes a few different Dr's before you are confortable with one. But she does need help. ASAP.

Get her some B12 and melt under her tongue. This vitamin should help her mentally.
Sounds like an evil force has invaded her mind.
Get some garlic and put under her bed in her room.
Pray for her very hard and give her positive things to do
watch comedy shows with her.

You should take her to the ER, she has a seriuos and deadly disease that needs to be treated. The hospital will call in a specialist to see her and they might need to admit her to the psych ward for a while, but whatever it takes to help her get better.

Hope she gets better!
