What exactly is Windows Vista going to be about, and does it deserve all the hype?

What will it's features be. I have tried searching but I haven't found anything worthwhile about it. But there is so much hype. Does anyone know what makes it so superior, and when it comes out will it make all other operating systems worthless?

i'm running windows vista right now and i think its pretty cool. i think all of the hype is just over something new coming out. xp has been around for a while. vista is really big on security. the interface looks a lot like apple/mac. and the biggest problem i'm facing is the compatibility issues. not all of the companies have updated their software to run with it. give it time though. that's just how technology is. all in all though, it's pretty cool and i won't go back to xp. just get ready to upgrade your video card!!

I heard it should be out by Feb. and NO WAY does it deserve all the hype. I have been reading reviews on it for about 6 months and what I get from it is that it is just that: HYPE. Thats all. There may be some nice updates over XP but nothing worth the hype.

Jan 30th to the general public. It was released to large companies on Nov 30th and has already been hacked, so much for security, however several major polls taken reveal that most large companies can't justify the cost and will be waiting at least a year.

As for cost, it will be the most expensive Windows OS ever, needing more memory and higher end video cards to enable all the functions, making the computers cost more.

Is it worth the hype? No! Is it worth the money? No! Stick with XP, you'll be much happier and headache free.

No windows software has ever deserved the hype, worse, no windows software has ever deserved the incredibly high prices associated with it.
