A 1990 Nissan 300ZX. Totally awesome car replaced by the Nissan Z.

Twin turbo.. the works.

try to find a clean body maybe a Ford or Chevy as you need to find and buy a car that you can get parts to fix it up... no PARTS is the biggie problem and if you pick something that is not parts friendly the you just up the price ----- what about a car body on a pick-up chassis .... I have heard that this is a cool way to go because you can have the "cool" car look and the tough frame of a newer P/U.. with all the tilt wheel and goo EFI engine and power to GO....

Personally, if i were to build a car solely for drifting, id look for an 80s corolla or 70s datsun 510. They both have gobs of aftermarket support, and they are CHEAP.

depends on brand you want Ford has the Crown Vic and Mercury Marquis or T bird and Cougar. Gm has Impala or Camaro all reliable and easy to find parts for new or used.
