I really care for him, I just don't see us moving in the same direction. I tell him about it all the time, He just looks at me and says nothing. I feel trapped and settling.

If that's how you feel then you need to sit down and explain this to him. Hopefully you are not living together so this makes things easier. Just be open and honest and try not to make any unnecessary comments

WEll you shouldn't tell him things like that. That will only make him feel like there is something wrong with him, when in fact there isn't. It's just the fact that he isn't the one for you. What you need to do, is just end it. If you feel that trapped, then get out now before you waste more of both of your time. Just go ahead and get it over with. I bet you will feel a lot better. You will probably be hurt and heart broken, but in the end it will be the best for you.

Tell him exactly want you want in life.Ask him exactly what he wants in life.
then if they dint match tell him you need more and you are going to have to move on so you can find it.
Be honest.
Unless he scares you.If you feel you would be danger then do it over the phone.
And change your locks and so forth before you do it and tell friends and family to watch out for him.
Also go to the police and ask for what you can do to protect yourself from him.

just like I did almost a year into the marriage. tell him that "I am not the woman for you. I tried dealing with this for 4 years with my heart. You can find better and I wish you luck"...just leave him.
