You should go to a therapist and find out what the underlying issue is and work to resolve it. It might be some sort of fear of abandonment brought on in childhood that prevents you from allowing yourself to get close. Whatever it is, a good counselor will help you identify the issue and work with you to resolve it. I recommend counseling because I've been through it myself. It took trial and error to find the right counselor, but it sure did help me once I did.

You probbaly have your defenses up becacuse you may have been burned in the past and it probably isn't easy for you to let someone in. I've had similar mishaps myself and wished I wouldn't have been so blocking. This will take time. You should talk with the person you love and lem him know that you feel for him and to take it slow with you and if you don't give a certain reaction to something he has done not to take it the wrong way and that it may take time for you to over come the blocking phase. Just keep trying. And maybe trying things that show affection back to him. I'm sure that if you have a talk and he loves you he will understand and you won't lose him.

If you really love him, maybe seek some counseling to talk and see if it leads to why you are doing this. There has to be an underlying reason. Are your parents married or divorced? It can be out of fear sometimes. It feels wonderful to deal with issues and move forward in life. I wish you the best.

You are emotionally unavaiable to this guy right now because you do not feel worthy of love. You need to search your heart and find out where this wounded started and deal with it. Since deep on your heart you feel that you are not worthy of love and you do not love yourself, you can't possibly imagine why anyone, especially him would love you? But you are worthy of love. Look over your life and find when it all started - the self-loathing. Pray and ask God to help you to see you as he sees you. To see and know how much God loves you, so that you will be able to learn to love yourself and in so allowing and accepting a man's love.

What do you mean blocking? What do you mean "show" he loves you? Are you talking about a man getting physical and you don't want him to, or are you talking about a person being nice and you reject him?
Your first step is to find out why you're doing it. He can't fix you- you have to deal with it, either by therapy or self-help books, or talking it over in counseling.

Oh although you might not think it you are really quite lucky to love someone and have them love you back! The guy I really like (maybe love) will never and would never (sigh) love or even like me back (sigh again) Think about that and next time you see him let your self just melt into his eyes and tell him you love him. Maybe you can have one of those romantic kissing-in-the-middle-of-a-place-with-people-all-around-you scenes But you won't care 'cause your with the man you love and O.K. that probably won't happen but you can tell him you love him and if he really loves you he will forgive you for not telling him sooner.

If you dont let him show you his love maybe you dont feel about him the way you thought you did. IF you do love him you need to tune up and get your head out of your ***. If you keep this up your going to be single before the next month or two.
