I had GEICO for 12 years but grew tired of seeing my insurance increase as the cars grew older. I went thru one of those Agent companies and was connected with a ripoff called Safeway - high premium without the perks of towing, uninsured motorists and rental. I quickly dropped them. I have a newer car and didn't feel comfy riding around with such janky insurance.
I now have Allstate. Plenty of discounts. Full Service w/ tow and rental reimbursement. Cheaper than GEICO and I like the customer service.
But be mindful when shopping. As you are probably aware companies perform credit checks - but what floored me is that when the companies checked my insurance history with GEICO they saw two (2) claims on my policy. I was clueless because to my knowledge I never filed any claim. Come to find out when I stopped at one of those "Windshield/Crack Repair" shops to have a crack sealed up about five years ago - GEICO listed it as a claim. What causes problems is when you try to get a quote the "other company" doesn't see what type of claim, or the amount - they just see "a claim" was filed and automatically think the worst (i.e. accident and totaled vehicle) and then give you a high quote.

I will be happy to answer your question. Now I noticed you asked for cheap insurance. Besure you verify the coverages of each quote you recieve, because they don't always quote with the same coverages. Second I sure hope you carry more than the minimum for insurance, as the minimum is never enough.
Now please keep in mind the four major factors in determining insurance.
1 - Credit
2 - Driving History (accidents and tickets)
3 - Age
4 - Do you currently have insurance?
Now lets look at the companies.
GEICO - good for people with bad credit or those who do not currently have insurance. They go back 5 years so older claims and tickets on your driving record can still affect you. Not a good company for tennagers or those in their "golden years"
Progressive - good for people with bad credit or bad driving history. They have more pricing structures for people with poor driving histories. Credit is a big factor with progressive so if you want to call you should have decent to good credit. A good company for teenagers, but not the golden years people.
Farmers - I would recommend this company if you only want to carry liability insurance. They do not have a good history of paying out claims. You should have good credit and current insurance.
AIG - If you have good credit and a good driving history, they can offer some of the lowest rates. They do have poor customer service and I don't expect them to be much better at handling claims.
AMICA - offers fair rates to those who score well in all catagories. They are an excellent company for customer service and claims.
The Hartford - is good for old people.

I have Nationwide. I've been pretty happy with them. They aren't too expensive, but they do usually go up some each year. I have only had to file a claim once (a tree fell on my car during a storm) and they paid the claim very quickly and were very helpful. My insurance didn't immediately go up either.

If you have questions about any charge on your policy, ask your agent. They will be happy to explain it.
To answer your question, Progressive, commercial insurance, paid yearly. $5,000 and change.

I have had USAA for years, and am very happy with the coverage and service! Of course, you have to be eligible for USAA to be covered by them, but if you are, it is a wise choice!
