Since when does it take GED and 15 hours in college to join USMC? I did not want to get GED, but when I came to US, they wouldnt let me go back to school, so just because of that, I had to get it.

Before, just anyone could get into the marines. That's why people who aren't bright enough to join the Navy or Air Force join the Army and Marines. Anyone is accepted as long as they are healthy.
Thing is, we need people who at least know a little about the world so they enforced a new rule.

Because it is a GED, not an actual high school diploma. Ask another recruiter from a different branch why-don't just accept the Marine Recruiter's answer. Do a little research on your own. There is this stigma in the United States that a GED is not as good as a high school diploma. Why not go one better and get 30 college credits and you will have even more rank/pay out of boot camp. Good luck!

Don't expect to get into the Air Force. It's even harder to get into the Air Force then it is to get into the Marines. Join the United States Army or Navy.
If you join the ARMY you only have to serve a minimum of two years. Also Marines get sent out first, if you didn't know that.
All Military branches get paid the same. The United States AirForce/Marines etc. All ranks are the same in all branches except they're named differently.
If you wan't to have a career in the Military I suggest joining the USAF (Air Force) It's the safest of all branches (you're less likely to die), an from what I heard the food isn't to bad aswell.
But it's even harder to get into, then the marines. The second safest seems to be the Navy. They don't get deployed as much an you're safe. It isn't as hard to get into, to.
You need to have a high school diploma. For ALL branches do you seriously think they'll give a high school drop-out a gun?

You are mistaken, they do require a GED, or a high school diploma, but no college credits.

Just go ARMY if you want to be in infantry, tanks, or whatever, the Marines have the image but every other service has more countries to get stationed in, better bases and facilities, and more money for college and other incentives. Plus almost any job in the Marines has an equivalent in another branch.

Those requirements are unofficially "flexible," and they will probably let you enlist...and then help you attain those requirements after the fact.
Just remember: the Marines are America's shock troops...in other words, they see all the sh** that no one else can handle... and they get the worst pay. Go Air Force: good pay and, unless you're a pilot, almost nobody ever shoots at ya!

I am not to sure about the USMC policies but it might depend on which job you want. Certain jobs require prerequisites.

The Corps doesn't take just, "Anyone"
try the Navy, you don't need an education there and from what I've read, you don't even have to be a US citizen.
