Niche is the total role of an organism in its surrounding.
Ecological Niche is the role of an organism in the environment, its activities and relationship to the living and nonliving environment.its profession e.g.a vulture's role in its surrounding is that of a scavenger.
Habitat Niche is the smallest unit of a habitat occupied by an organism.e.g. the bark of a tree is the habitat niche of a woodpecker. Overhanging branches of a tall tree would be the same for flying fox-a large fruit eating bat.(Off course this is day-time niche for them)

A habitat niche is the physical space occupied by the organism; an ecological niche is the role the organism plays in the community of organisms found in the habitat. The activities of an organism and its relationships to other organisms are determined by its particular structure, physiology, and behaviour..
