the phone is probably ok. its just that with new phones requiring less power, the phone companies probably made corresponding adjustments in power levels. This allows for much safer operation. so the ringing signal is probably insufficient to power up the old ringer circuits. if its an antique phone, you probably dont want to open it. a number of stores (radio shack) sell small ringers for phones. you can get one of these plus a dual phone jack (this will allow you to plug the ringer and the telephone side by side. you can ask the guy selling the device to show you how to connect it). When a call comes in, the ringer will allow you to receive the call as usual.

It could be the tensioner for the bell is worn out you can open it up and there will be a spring or a wire that places tension on the part that rings the bell. If you can replace the spring or tighten it and that should work. If that doesnt work try replacing the whole ringer assembly.

no longer with any ease - the only thank you to apply as is could be very in touch ( actual a mini telephone employer ) the only uncomplicated determination could be to have a separate telephone for each recording and use a change linked to the rotary dial - it may set off as quickly as you dial and you're able to time it with 'lifeless air' on the recording ( to allow dialing time ) - the different difficulty is the speaker interior the telephone ( impedance experience ) least confusing to easily replace it with yet another speaker the easy answer is not any dialing in basic terms %. up the telephone for a connection - the prevailing change could set off the recording applying the distant plug interior the participant - new speaker and you're in employer desire you get a bigger answer ! and you probably did ! a minimum of the 1st answer - the 2d isn't

With the way all the technology is getting, it may not be ringing due to being miswired or something. Have someone that knows something about old phones check it out.
