I used to infected kidneys a hell of alot , and then as soon as i started taking the medication i would be violently sick . I would put it down to a reaction to the medication and get to your GP to get them to change it . x

I had a kidney infection so bad once, that i had to go to the emergency room and get hooked up to an IV. I was puking up bile. I was so sick. If you get worse, go to the doctor. The codene may also be making you feel sick. Just be careful because your kidneys are important.

IT may be?but I wonder if it's your kidney's? you see I had a kidney infection some time ago and one of the symptoms was constantly being sick. The fact that you stil have back pain would sugest you may stil have a problem there I think you should see your doctor he may send you for a I.V. P. Exray all the best and good luck

It is very possible that you may be allergic to the Codeine. Did u take it on a full stomach or at least with milk. If you didnt then that could be the reason. I have the same reaction when I take it as well. Hope this helps.

It could be the kidney infection and/or the codeine. Call your doctor and ask them to call in something different for your pain. Real codeine seems to cause more nausea than synthetic narcotics.

Codeine can be hard on your tummy, ask your doc about how to minimize the side effects. Kidney infections are NO fun, feel better soon!

Maybe your codeine dose is too high, being a member of the opiate family it is likely to make you nauseous. Maybe decrease the dose, I hope you feel better, kidney infections are awful.

You may be having an allergic reaction to the codeine. I can't take it, it makes me horribly sick. Better give your doctor (or nurse practitioner) a call to discuss your symptoms and pick a different pain-killer (I've had much better luck with valuum or vicotin).

it seems your body is rejecting opiates; did you ever have morphine in the hosp? If so, did it make you sick? Then you need something else. Call toe doc as soon as poss. You can't take the codeine...and that's a WEAK opiate. Get better soon!
