the best toast i hears was while i was working as a bartender. at a wedding the brides daughter also her brides maid, gives a toast recalling the first time her mom talked about her now new husband, it was at dinner with her kids, her now ex-husband about how her mother spoke about her new boss and she knew at that momeant this man ment something to her mom with way her eyes lit up.

I don't believe this falls into the "best" toast made, but it made some laughs at our wedding when the best man said it. "Congratulations, enjoy your today - cuz buddy it's over!"

When a priest at a wedding reception said, "Good bread, good meat, good God, let's eat" I thought it was hysterical. (He also gave the prayer and it was much more dignified.)
