i need my drivers license number for an insurance qoute but i cant find my license. i think i may have left it in my old truck at the mechanincs (a long drive from here) can anyone tell me how i can find my drivers license # without my license? will the dmv give me the # over the phone or something?

Go to the nearest cop shop, tell them what you need and your social security number and they should be able to help

Or, if you get your canceled checks back from your bank, look to see if it's written on the canceled check.

If you currently have insurance, your old policy might have it on there also.

Call the mechanic and ask him or just make the drive. Personally, i wouldn't want the DMV just giving out information like that as it can lead to identity theft if given to the wrong person.
