I just fail to understand why the fuss over periods. Women can't do this thing, that thing during periods !!! How come one becomes sort of untouchable just because of a NATURAL phenomena. If you ask me, a woman can do whatever she likes including performing all types of spiritual rituals and practices during periods.

Normally it is stated that they should not. I mean one should not take a book and read or chant as a ritual. However there people who have memorised and can repeat without referring to any book sometimes may repeat unconsciously. Can we say it is wrong?
