I am trying really hard to remember what the term is for someone who believes that god exists, but doesn't believe that mankind has the capability to comprehend, understand, or grasp the true nature of god. It isn't agnostic, emphasis-- believe in god, cant understand, not a questioning/uncertainty of whether or not there is a god.

~~~NQA ,,,I think it might depend on your strict definition of the god you are describing. If your 'god' is not a Supreme Being, then you are very close to describing some of the concepts of Taoism. In the tenets of Taoism there is a popular teaching of, and repeated referrence to the Conundrum of Learning the Way of The Tao when it is impossible to describe it,,, and to even attempt to describe it should not be attempted as the Human is not developed enough in it's Spiritual Form to even be able to Comprehend the fullness of The Tao, therefore it is warned to not fall into this Common Trap. Therefore one must accept the humbleness of Human Shortcomings,,, as The Tao must be Experienced and Realized from Within even though The Tao is present in ALL THINGS, from the micro to the macro. ~ There are references to this in religions, for example, the muslims will not even write the word Allah, let alone create any depiction of "him" as "he" his considered Transcendant and deserving of only the greatest of adulation,,, that being the devotion of your Soul. Good Luck,,,,
Short answer: Agnostic is the word you're looking for. "gnos" means "to know," so if you're a-gnostic, you "don't know" (about God).
Long (and correct) answer: "Theist Noncognitivist." Agnostic usually means not only do you not understand God, but you can't possibly know whether He exists or not. A better term for what you are would be "Theist Noncognitivist" - "Theist" because you believe in god and "non-cognitivist" because you have no cognition, no knowledge, of Him.
I think most people who believe this would describe themselves as "spiritual." They believe in a higher power or that the universe works in some divine way, but shy away from hard rules and definitions about it.
Perhaps a special shade of deism?
Many deists believe in god but believe that god set the universe in motion. It would be easy to add that such a "mover" is impossible to know and understand.
Believe of god whom will not commit crime as they believe god will watch him and punishment will come soon. Atheist can be 2 types of people who believe their is no god as he doesn't want to realize or understanding of the reality. The other type will be understand and realize who he is. He did something will be a karma follow by result. He scare of result and will not commit crime. Who will you be?
I'm looking, I'm looking...
I know there is a particular term for it as well.
edit -- the closest I am finding is agnostic theism, but I'm not sure that was what you were looking for. My husband, who holds a degree in philosophy, is certain that there is a particular term and remembers it being connected with Kant. I'll keep looking.
If you believe in God then you understand his exsistance. And his exsistance is infinite love, peace, joy, justice, etc.
We just don't understand HOW loving he his, because we can't understand eternity (yet)
