Humans, it can be determined due to our mammalian roots and skull structure, are associated with the line descending from Synapsid reptiles, which includes the sailbacked reptiles of the Carboniferous and Permian, along with Cynodonts and Dicynodonts. This can be determined by skull morphology, specifically the temporal fenestra opening near the eyes that we share with other synapsids.
Chickens do not share this, and are allied with the Sauropsids, from which came most modern living reptiles and the dinosaurs.
Hence, no, we are not descended from chickens. Nobody has ever proposed this. And nobody ever will.
My fellow respondents should be aware that, yes, "Christians" can get this info into their skulls. This Christian did.

Its only uneducated Christians that actually believe that load of crap.
First, humans didn't evolve from monkeys and science doesn't say we did. It also doesn't say we evolved from apes. It says WE EVOLVED FROM A COMMON ANCESTOR.
Why Christians can't get that through their thick skull, I don't know. Is there something wrong with the Christian brain type that they can't understand simple basic science?
As for chickens, since when did science ever say that humans evolved from chickens? Or are you just making that up to troll?
Now science says that humans evolved from an ape-like ancestor that all primates evolved from and its believed dinosaurs evolved into birds (the flying lizard was an evolutionary dead end as the Archaeopertix has been shown to be a dead end rather than the link between dinosaurs and birds as first believed).
Now, as to proof, YOU have to do your research yourself because I'm not going to do it for you just because you feel like being lazy. There's far too much information to ever type it all up on yahoo.
Theres a reason classes in things like biology exist. To teach you this stuff. Though you really should have learned it in high school.

Oh my goodness, how could we believe in something as ridiculous as evolution, just because science has all the evidence we need! I'll bet you still think the earth is flat.
Why should we trust in provable science instead of believing in ridiculous stories about being pulled out of the side of a man in the garden of eden? Oh, by the way, how did he get there in the first place? And, then the instant family, towns people, etc. Yeah, right! Not to mention the guy in the whale's stomach. lol
You need to study the science of our awesome universe, and spend less time with fairy stories like heaven and hell, angels and devils.
I don't want t hear about your "faith," because the literal meaning of it is "belief without proof."

The core idea is unchanged. The details have been refined by new evidence. If you followed the scientific literature, you would see there is no aspect that will not be challenged periodically. Science is about skepticism. I'm sorry you had lousy teachers, but the breakdowns in your education do not reflect science in general.
